[Review] The Colonel's Daughter by Amy Andrews

Ivy Danforth is out from under her Colonel father's overprotective control, and she's making it count. Big time. She's taken the summer off to travel through Australia with her bestie and experiencing all that life has to offer—when you’re not under constant military surveillance. She wants to end her summer with some sexy fun, and she has just the hottie in mind.

Seth Rodrigo is ex-Special Forces working undercover and keeping an eye on Ivy as a special favor to her father. All he has to do is not give the game away and reveal who he really is. And especially not give into the hunger that's burning through his careful control...

Then they're forced into protective custody. Alone. Together. For four days.
And this time, the Colonel's daughter isn't taking no for an answer...

** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **

This is the 1st book I have read by Amy Andrews and I can't wait to download the rest in the series. I really liked this book.
I didn't spend half the book thinking "FFS! just do it!" Which is good, because I think some times books drag it out so freaking long that by the time they do... you're uninterested.

Can I just add, Ivy has shit loads of confidence for a virgin! I still wouldn't strip naked in front of someone who I've known 3 months!

The story revolves around Ivy and Dean/Seth (I'll explain). Ivy is the daughter of a Colonel and because of her past he is extra protective, I mean I know parents are any way but he steps it up a notch when Ivy spreads her wings a little. He hires someone to look out for her. Dean.

Dean owes his life to the Colonel and takes up the job... it's almost over when Ivy is shot at and then a hit man is hired.... the pair get locked up together in a hotel room where their attraction only grows... until Ivy finds out Dean is Seth and why Seth is using another name.

The plot itself isn't deep but the story and growth between Ive and Dean/Seth makes up for that and I honestly couldn't put it down! It's been a while since I've had any of those kind of books and the ones that make your cheeks blush ;)

Can't wait to get through my ARC's so I can buy and read some more of this series.
