[Review] Love On The Line by Pamela Aares

Hiding her identity was a small price to pay for freedom…

Heiress Cara Barrington fled the opulent world of her rich and famous family to carve out an idyllic existence on the California Coast. In the sleepy town of Albion Bay, she’s embraced the simple way of living she’s always craved. No one knows her identity, and she’s free from the pressures of wealth…until her sexy new neighbor threatens the unpretentious world she’s worked so hard to build.

All-Star athlete Ryan Rea enjoys his high-profile status. He’s used to charming his way into the heart and bed of any woman he desires while keeping his own heart secure behind a steel wall. When he meets Cara, she throws him a curveball—she’s unlike any woman he’s ever met, and he has to have her.

Cara’s growing attraction to Ryan endangers her hard-won anonymity, and when she inherits the family business, she must choose between the world she left behind and her new life in the community she’s come to cherish. But facing up to her responsibilities could destroy her freedom and cost her the greatest love she’s ever known.

Chapter 2 - I'm intrigued.  This is the first book that's had me raising an eyebrow and questioning where this is going.  I'm not seeing how their two lives mash together like I did with the others... Very intrigued!
Completed -  This book seemed to take me a lot longer than the rest, I don't know why though. I didn't feel the connection as much as I did do with the other books but I still really liked, I missed the quirky character though... but we got cuteness, so it's swings and roundabouts.
Cara is a simple girl in a small town where everyone helps each other. They grow their own food and fund their own support system.
She isn't looking for love but is determined to keep her past life at bay and forever run from it. That is until Ryan Rea turns up in the small town that has little money, driving a Bugatti. A perk for playing for the Giants.
Ryan tries to squeeze through the cracks in the wall that Cara has built, hoping that she'll let him in her life, realizing that this is the type of woman he wants. A simple, not after money, no motives or scheming unlike the women in his past who tried to destroy him.
Only Cara is living one huge lie. Although she's not lied to hurt other people she winds up hurting everyone close to her when they discover that she's worth billions.

The greatest thing about this story though, is the foal... and the guest of honor!
